Florescence cystoscopy improves the visualisation of bladder tumors, reduce residual tumor rates by at least 20% and improve recurrence free survival. Florescence cystoscopy has the advantage of improved detection of CIS and small papillary lesions. More complete transurethral resection is possible. Diagnosis, staging and management of bladder cancer may be more feasible by the help of florescence cystoscopy.
