Laparo-Endoscopic Single-Site Surgery (LESS), an attempt to further enhance the cosmetic benefits of minimally invasive surgery while minimizing the potential morbidity associated with multiple incisions, has been recently developed. Despite better cosmetic results of LESS surgery, increased cost compared with conventional laparoscopy, necessity of advanced laparoscopic experience, limited traction force of specially designed flexible instruments and increased time of operation are its disadvantages. These drawbacks may be prevailed over by increased laparoscopic experience and continuing development of specially designed instruments for LESS.
