Recommendations of Diet and Lifestyle in Prostate Cancer Patients

Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer following lung cancer in worldwide. Therefore many studies were performed about diet and lifestyle changes for preventing progressive disease in prostate cancer. When these studies evaluated; smoking, sedentary lifestyle and obesity were found to be associated with the progression of prostate cancer. In studies on the diet; red meat, dietary saturated fat and dairy products can increase the progression of prostate cancer, while green tea, pomegranate and soy products can reduce. However large randomized controlled trials are needed to clarify the information.
