Testicular tumors are 5% of all urologic malignancies and 95% of them have germ cell origin. About half of the germ cell tumors are metastatic at the time of diagnosis. In recent years systemic chemotherapy used with surgery had enabled a marked decrease of mortality. Approximately 70 to 80% of cure rates were reported with cisplatin based combination therapy even for advanced disease. Nevertheless combination chemotherapy regimens have many serious early and late toxicities. In this article, mechanisms, clinical features, treatment and prevention methods of the side effects due to chemotherapeutic agents that are used in the treatment of testicular cancer were discussed.
