The aim of this review is to overwiev the testis sparing surgery (TSS), operative technics, and patient selection in testis tumours with current information. Because of the few published data, specific guidelines and recommendations by experts are scarce. In patients with synchronous bilateral tumours, metachronous contralateral tumours or tumour in solitary testis, TSS for GCTs is considered as an alternative to radical orchidectomy in whom with tumour volume <30% of the testis volume, and normal preoperative testosterone levels.
