There are occasions of secondary tumors after radiotherapy and chemotherapy in patients with testis cancer. It was observed that incidence of leukemia and some solid tumors (malign mesothelioma, lung cancer, esophagus, gastric, pancreas, renal, bladder, connective tissue) is increased. Prognosis of secondary leukemia is worse than that of primary leukemia. Risk is associated related with the area and dose of radiotherapy and cumulative dose of chemotherapy. On the other hand, survival improvement with modern radiotherapy and chemotherapy methods is a good trade-off against the risk of secondary tumor risk.
