ABSTRACT
In recent years, possible relationship between boron exposure and prostate cancer has been studied in literature. In one of the these studies, researchers has examined whether there was a possible association between boron exposure and PCa using an ideal region for an objective epidemiological study where boron level in drinking water is higher than 1.0 mg L−1. In this study, urinary boron levels were used to calculate the daily boron exposure. According to results found, it was figured out that there was no statistically significant association between PCa and boron exposure while there was a relationship between prostatic volume and daily boron intake.
