ABSTRACT

A preoperative prognostic model predicting 5 year recurrencefree survival in patients with non-metastatic renal cell carcinoma was developed as a result of a multi-center study conducted by the Society of Urooncology. This model is useful to counsel patients before nephrectomy. It can be used as a patient selection tool for neoadjuvant as well as active surveillance studies. It is a user-friendly model that utilizes easy to obtain clinical variables. The model is yet to be externally validated.
