ABSTRACT

Patients with renal tumor in the solitary kidney,nephron sparing surgery must be preferred. When the volume of the remaining kidney tissue is considered there are some options preventing or delaying the progression to the end stage renal kidney failure. The most prominent of these options are; short duration occlusion of the renal artery during surgery,iv mannitol application before occlusion, use of low-dose ACE inhibitors in the early postoperative duration and diet with poor protein.
