ABSTRACT

Gemcitabine – Cisplatine protocole is the most commonly used regimen for bladder tumor patients who need chermotherapy. However there are toxic side effects of these drugs that affect the quality of life. One of the important aspects for the care of chemotherapy patients' is not to diminish the quality of life. Therefore, managing these toxicities is quite important. A urooncology nurse is expected to be capable of dealing with toxicities, causes of toxic effects and treating side effects. A urooncology nurse is also supposed to educate the patient and the patient's family.
