ABSTRACT
In the Western Society, prostate cancer is one of the most commonly diagnosed cancers, but also one of the most predominant causes of death in relation to cancer. The reason for its prominence is the lack of clear understanding of the cancer and how it is spread. Recently, progress has been made in researches focusing on the path toward understanding the mechanism of prostate cancer development, the diagnostic tools, and novel surgical and medical treatment methods. This article reviews recent developments in current diagnostic and treatment methods for prostate cancer.
