Quality of Life after Radical Cystectomy and Diversion

Radical cystectomy and urinary diversion is still a golden standard therapy for muscle invasive bladder cancer. Diversion is the non- standard part of this therapy. In the last two-decade orthotopic bladder is much more performed than various techniques. Quality of life seems to be the most important factor used for the decision type of diversion. Although there are so many studies about this issue they are far along to be standard. One can make reference from those studies is there is no difference in terms of quality of life among diversion types. In this review we discussed the affect of diversion types and robotic cystectomy on quality of life with literature.
